At the Terrill Foundation, we provide assistance to high school seniors throughout the 50 states, who are affected by brain injuries, brain tumors and other neurologic diseases.

Beginning ingraduating high school seniors whose lives were changed by disease and injury have received assistance to further their educational goals at universities and technical schools. Medical advances make it possible for these young men and women to not only survive, but to lead valuable and fulfilling lives.

The Foundation honors Terrill Mast, PhD, who died of a brain tumor after living seven years with the affects of a brain injury. Terry devoted his entire career to educating in a way that encouraged others to reach their goals regardless of their struggles. He inspired all who knew him with his deep intellect, his integrity and his love of learning.

Applications come from all 50 states and Canada. Criteria for being selected a Terrill Scholar are based on perseverance toward identified goals and dedication to recovery, not on financial need. Scholarships will be awarded annually in May with funds going directly to the educational institution before the fall semester.

The intent of the scholarship is to provide not only funding but encouragement to the recipient. The recipient should show the same type of perseverance that Terry showed in continuing the work he loved in spite of his prognosis and progressive disabilities.
